Josephine L. Schneider, age 82, of Jasper, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Monday (July 22, 2013) at home. Josephine was born on January 20, 1931 in McLeansboro, IL to Charles and Sarah (Prince) Mead. She married Wayne "Jack" Schneider on July 13, 1956 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Evansville, Indiana. She was a 1948 graduate of McLeansboro High School. After graduating from Lockyear's Business College she worked as a secretary for three companies in Evansville. She was then a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

Funeral services for Josephine Schneider will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (July 26, 2013) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday (July 25, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, American Heart Association, or to a favorite charity.
