Mrs. Watkins was the President of Fair Tide Shellfish Company in New Bedford and had been involved in the seafood industry for more than twenty years. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and loved her dogs, Max and Greta, and all animals in general.
She is survived by two daughters, an aunt, an uncle, and several cousins.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday September 25, 2009 at 12 noon in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, New Bedford, followed by interment in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements are by THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
