Kenneth Maurice Clark, son of Walter Orey Clark and Lucy Belle Violet Clark, was born August 24, 1913 in Van Wert and passed away June 28, 2005 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola at the age of 91. (He always went by his middle name of Maurice). Maurice graduated from Weldon Schools and attended two years of Jr. College in Osceola. He was united in marriage to Freda Larie Gibson on November 9, 1936 in Leon. They had three sons - Condon, Roger and Rolan. Maurice farmed in the Osceola area his whole life - on a farm west of Osceola since 1954. He was also a meat cutter at Hydes in Indianola and Leon. He and Freda moved to Osceola in 1992. Maurice enjoyed woodworking, rock hunting and polishing, and horseshoe pitching; he was a member of the Iowa Horseshoe Pitchers Association. He and Freda also enjoyed spending the winter in Arizona for many years.
