Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Saturday afternoon due to complications following a stroke. Betty is survived by her husband Jay Dale, her three children Gordon and wife Julie, Jan and husband Jeff, and Julie; nine grandchildren Adam, Angie, Patti, Ryan, Bethany, Zach and Nichole, Brittany, Bryan, and Jessica, and great-grandchild Layla. Betty was born February 7, 1934 and was preceded in death by her parents Edmond and Chloie Wies. Betty married her sweetheart Jay August 27, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for all time and Eternity. Soon after their marriage they moved to their home in the Canyon Rim area where they raised their three children and enjoyed 51 years together. Betty was employed and retired at ZCMI where she loved to work. Betty loved flowers and enjoyed being in her yard. Betty was an active member of the LDS Church and served as the Primary president and visiting teacher. Betty loved being a grandmother and was actively involved with her family. She loved all animals and especially loved and missed Bella. She enjoyed swimming, driving, and especially shopping. At Betty's request a private graveside service will be held Thursday, May 24 2007. Friends may call at a viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., May 23rd at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, Utah. Our special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor at the U of U Hospital and the staff at the Care Source Hospice Facility.
