Frank Hicks

Frankie G. Hicks, 53, of Allenville passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, while coon hunting in Bollinger County.

He was born Dec. 18, 1960, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Larry and Betty Seabaugh Hicks.

Frank was a river worker the past 30 years, serving as a captain/pilot since 2001 with Master License Credentials. Due to Capt. Hicks' credentials, he was evaluated by the Coast Guard and determined to be qualified for recognition as a "designated examiner" for assessment of competence of candidates for towing vessel licenses. This designation is not valid unless accompanied by a valid U.S. Merchant Mariner's Credential endorsed for Master of Towing Vessels. Frank worked for Crescent Marine Towing in Harvey, Louisiana.

Survivors include his mother, Betty of Chaffee, Missouri; a sister, Loretta Hicks Below of Chaffee; two brothers, Eric (Paula) Hicks of Chaffee and Mark (Kourtney) Hicks of Advance, Missouri; nephews, Dustin (Lauren), Tristan and David (Ashley); and nieces, Rebecca (Shawn), Gracie and Beth (Chris).

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry G. Hicks.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
