Mrs. Trena Bendina Olsen BJELKE, 67, died Monday at 1:50 a.m. of thrombosis at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Neldon RIGBY.
Mrs. BJELKE was born April 01, 1883 in Odensa, Denmark, a daughter of Hans Peter and Anna K. Madsen OLSEN. She came to Utah when she was three years old, with her parents who were converts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was married to Oscar W. BJELKE, July 15, 1929 in Nephi. Mr. BJELKE died in May 1941.
Mrs. BJELKE was active in the L.D.S. Church, being a member of the Stake Singing Mothers and ward choir. She also served in different offices in the Relief Society and was a Relief Society visiting teacher for 25 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. RIGBY; three grandchildren, Charles, Richard and Kathrene RIGBY of Mount Pleasant; five sisters, Mrs. Emma KLINGER, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Sena NEEKA, Chicago, Illinois; Mrs. Engabor WISE, Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Laura LIVSEY and Mrs. Elvena PETERSON of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Ferd and Seymour OLSEN of Mount Pleasant.
Funeral Services will be held Friday (today) at 1:00 p.m. in the North Ward Chapel with Bishop Arnold Y. Stevens of officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery under direction of Jacobs Mortuary.
Friends may call at the Neldon RIGBY home, 789 East First South, Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Services.
