She was born in Toppenish on April 6, 1965 to Arthur George and Cleda Queahpama. Audrey was raised and educated in the lower valley and she worked as a laborer. Audrey was a member of the Colville Tribe and enjoyed playing pool. She had taken an interest and was learning to make shawls and yarn purses.
She is survived by her mother, Cleda (Mike) Peterson of Toppenish; four brothers, Marvin Martinez Jr., Raymond Smith, Clayton Gibson and Josh Pete and one sister, Angela Martinez. Audrey is preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Peter George and Charlie Miller.
Dressing services will be at the Wapato Longhouse on Thursday January 8, 2015 at 1 PM with overnight services following.
Funeral services will be held at sunrise Friday with interment at the Toppenish Creek Cemetery in White Swan.
