BRIAN C. BARHAM
February 9, 1974 - November 28, 2014

Brian, 40, Stockton, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday in Nevada. He was born in Springfield to William and Judi Barham.

He attended school in Walnut Grove from the first-fourth grades, and Stockton fifth-12th. He married his soulmate, Cathie Dawes March 23,1995 in Stockton. He was a general contractor for 19 years.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He particularly loved his grandchildren, Kyle, Koltyn, and Taylor; and his nieces, Tristan and Ava. He loved the mountains of Colorado where he felt closest to God. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family, friends, and his grandchildren.

Brian was very involved in his community, and was a member of Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce.

He spent his adult life working diligently to build a successful construction business, and was an integral part of rebuilding Stockton after the devastating tornado of 2003.

Brian was a generous man with a big heart who found true happiness in helping others through random acts of kindness. He always anonymously adopted families for Christmas, and was a supporter of the Tiger Tasters Backpack Program, the Wounded Warrior Projects, and the American Cancer Society. He touched many lives. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Cathie Barham of the home; his parents, William and Judi Barham; his children, Shamberly Gutherie and Michael Dawnes; a half sister, Hannah simpson; a half brother, Tony Barham; two sisters, Tara and Cindy Barham; three grandchildren, Kyle, Koltyn and Taylor; and two nieces, Tristan Enfield and Ava Simpson.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Newman; grandparents, Ed and Rosetta Barham; an aunt, Trudi Batson; an uncle, Tom Barham; and many, many friends.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Brumback Funeral Home. Service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Stockton Assembly of God church, with burial in Mound Cemetery under the direction of Brumback Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brumback Funeral Home for the expenses.
