GIBSON CITY: Fred C. Lowery, 82, a lifelong resident of Gibson City and former paving company employee, died at 2:10 a.m. yesterday (Jan. 18, 1993) at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City, IL.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Thomas Condron officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City, with military rites by Lee Lowery American Legion Post 568.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lowery was born July 8, 1910, in Gibson City, a son of Roy and Hazel Hines Lowery. He married Marjorie Brock Sept. 11, 1946, in Gibson City. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Terry, Foosland; one daughter, Nancy Foster, Gibson City; two brothers, Bill Lowery Sr., Hoopeston, and Ross, Champaign; and three sisters, Violet Sloat, Fisher; Jessie Davis, Gibson City; and Mary Coons, Stronghurst. One son, one sister and one grandson preceded him in death.

Mr. Lowery was employed for many years at Leigh Paving, Paxton, retiring in 1975.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
