Mr. Patrick Clinton “Pat” Foster, age 78, of Lavonia, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Hart Care Center. The family acknowledges and appreciates the care and attention given to Pat while he was a resident of Hart Care Center and under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Born March 14, 1936 in Demorest, he was the son of the late Floyd Samuel Foster, Sr. and Zona (Crunkleton) Foster. He was a graduate of Lavonia High School. He retired from Flash Foods as a Customer Service Representative. He was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Geneva (Fleming) Foster; brother and sister-in-law: Carroll and Mary Foster; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ralph and Barbara Honea; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife: Norma E. Foster; brothers: Sam Foster, Harris Foster, Gordon Foster, and Howell Foster; and sisters: Mary Stewart and Kathleen Sisk.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith and Dr. Larry Finger officiating. A private burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
