She was the wife of James E. Corell.
Mrs. Correll was born October 2, 1921 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late James Austin [Alston] Tucker and Vida Broughman Tucker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Corell was a Registered Nurse for Westvaco Corp. having retired in 1984 with 35 years of service to the company.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Church (Susan) Lockard, Roanoke; three brothers, William (Bill) Tucker, Wintson-Salem NC, Robert (Bob) Tucker, Richmond, Raymond Everett Tucker, Clifton Forge; one sister Mrs. Edna Mae Garland, Winston-Salem NC; and one grandchild, Chloe Lockard, Roanoke. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Jack Turner.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James A. Rhone officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 at Loving Funeral Home, Covington. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Doris Dudding 1610 Carpenter Dr Covington Va.
