She was the spouse of the late Benjamin Franklin Slagle whom she married March 15, 1941 at St. James UMC (her home church) in West Friendship. She was born May 31, 1921 in Belair, MD the daughter of the late George William Hurt and the late Ida Sarah Bailey.
She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. She is a member of Lisbon UMC and the church’s Ladies Society.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 11 AM at Lisbon UMC 15875 Frederick Rd. Lisbon, MD 21765 with Interment to follow in McKendree Cemetery.
