From the "California Courier," (Fresno, California), 2 Apr 1970:
Author of "Fresno Armenians" Dies
Dr. Wilson Dallam Wallis, anthropologist, died on March 15 at his home in South Woodstock. He was 84 years old.
He was the author of "Fresno Armenians (to 1919)," written while teaching at Fresno High School and Junior College.
Dr. Wallis was professor emiritus of anthropoligy at the University of Minnesota for 15 years until his retirement in 1954.
He was also author of 12 books and numerous articles and had taught at Hartford College, the University of Connecticut and Amhurst College here, during retirement years.
He received bachelor's and master's degrees from Dickinson College. He was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and in 1915 was awarded the doctorate by the University of Pennsylvania.

The "Trenton Evening Times," (Trenton, New Jersey), notes that he was the father of the University of Rochester President W. Allen Wallis and that he was an authority on primitive religions and sciences. Also that he was a native of Forest Hill, Md.
