Wilma P. Wight, age 96, a long time Orland resident, passed away July 7, 2012. She was born Nov. 1, 1915 in Grinnell, Iowa to Paul and Jessie Pugh.
Wilma and her sister, Pauline came to Los Angeles in 1936, where she met and married Ivan C. Wright on Dec. 10, 1939. Ivan was from Wichita, Kansas. Together they had two children, Randall Wright of Fair Oaks, CA and Linda Wright Pastiglione and husband, John of Flemington, New Jersey.
Wilma worked as a salesperson for many years. She and her husband owned property north of Orland. She belonged to the Orland Historical and Cultural Society, the Orland Arts Group, the Orland Grange, the Friends of the Library, and was a member of the Orland Evangelical Free Church.
Funeral Services will be held this Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Orland Evangelical Free Church at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at the Oddfellows Cemetery for the family.
