Jeffrey Michael Barry, 26, of Guatemala, formerly of Macomb died Friday June 2, 2006, in Guatemala.
He was born Jan. 29, 1980 in Macomb to Michael and Paula Mecum Barry.
He is survived by his father, Michael Barry and his fiance Teresa Cleland of Macomb and mother, Paula and step-father Tice Oudshoorn of Guatemala, one son, Taylor Michael Barry of Macomb; one brother, Sean Patrick Barry of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Katie Barry of Quincy, IL.; his great-grandmother, Barbara Wear of Loraine, IL.; his step-grandmother, Kathleen Barry of Macomb; one nephew, Cole Thomas Zelle of Quincy and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Mildred Barry, Paul and Kay Mecum; great-grandparents, Fred and Marie Horrell; Floyd and Erma Mecum and Seldon Wear.
Jeffrey spent his life in several different places including Macomb, Bowen, Chicago, California and the last 2 1/2 years in Guatemala, where he was a wood worker and farmer. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed being in the color guard.
Jeffrey enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest every day. He will be missed by all.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, where visitation will be two hours prior to services. Rev. Ron Green will officiate. Cremation has been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylor Michael Barry Education Fund.
