November 28, 1922 - December 28, 2014

Mrs. Greene, 92, Stockton, died Sunday in her home. She was born in Cedar County, November 28, 1922, to Elmer and Iza Chaney Hudson.

Georgia grew up on a farm in Cedar County, attended grade school at Shady Hill Rural School where she graduated from the eighth grade and graduated from Stockton High School.

Georgia was united in marriage to Walter Greene, and a daughter, Jeane Carol, was born of the union.

Georgia was a hard worker and talented in many ways. She did work as a seamstress, catered weddings, worked for the Selective Service in the Stockton Court House, and also other offices at Stockton Courthouse and at Stockton Nursing Home. She loved to crochet and made and gave many gifts from her crocheted work.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeane Carol Wagner and husband Dennis of Forsyth; a granddaughter, Jeanette of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, William and Katie of Springfield; a niece, Donnie Jo Dody and husband Alvin; a niece-in-law, Jerry Hudson; three cousins, Luella Phipps, Wayne Hutchins and Julian Randell; a very close friend, Marleen Nabity; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Elmer and Iza Hudson; her husband, Walter, who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country in the Phillippine Islands; a brother, Guy Hudson and wife, Maggie; and a nephew, Donald Ray "Pete" Hudson.
