Wendy Ellsworth was born on July 12, 1951 to William and Kathryn Muldoon in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, and lived in Mifflintown, PA until she went off to nursing school in 1969 where in her second year she met her future husband Frank while she was on affiliation at the VA Hospital where Frank was working.

On September 17, 1972, Wendy and her not yet to be husband received the Lord as their Savior. Wendy graduated in 1973 from nursing school at Coatsville, PA and on October 27, 1973 Frank and Wendy were married.

She worked at a state hospital for the next 5 years and in 1976 received her pilot license, as did her husband. They liked to do things together.

In 1978 her husband joined the Air Force and moved to San Antonio, Texas. Wendy worked at the San Antonio VA Hospital where she had the privilege of leading an Officer in the Air Force to the Lord. They joined Castle Hills Baptist Church shortly after arriving in San Antonio and were very active while members there. Her husband finished his obligation to the Air Force and was employed as a pilot and flight instructor. His flying duties took him in some rather wicked and severe weather. Wendy was not too fond of that, and Frank, being sensitive to her feelings, elected to quit his flying job and go back to school.

In 1989, Frank and Wendy moved to New Jersey, after he graduated from The University of Texas. Wendy transferred from the San Antonio VA Hospital to the Philadelphia VA Hospital and Frank worked for the Air Force as a civilian. Then in 1990 they moved to O'Fallon, Illinois, where Wendy continued her work at the VA Hospital in St. Louis and her husband worked at an Air Force Base and were both active members at the First Baptist Church in O'Fallon.

in 1996 Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the next 13 years the cancer had spread to her brain, bones, and lungs. The Ellsworth's retired from their careers and moved to Houston in October of 2005 so that Wendy could get the best treatment and care possible at MD Anderson. Wendy and Frank joined Sagemont Church in January 2006 and have been very active in the life of the church. Wendy has been such an inspiration and an encouragement to so many she came in contact with, as well as a testimony to the sovereignty, mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. She always said she would be healed either her on earth or in heaven. Her passion for life and her hope she had in the faithfulness of the Lord is what sustained her for the last 13 years. All will sorely miss her.
