PATRICIA B. (SAMPIER) PALERMO
Patricia B. Palermo, 83, the former manager of a women's clothing outlet, died Tuesday (Dec. 24, 1996) in Crestwood Health Care Facility, Wheatfield.
Mrs. Palermo, whose home was on LaSalle Avenue in Niagara Falls, had been a resident of the health facility for about 10 months.
The former Patricia Sampier was born June 9, 1913 in Potsdam, the daughter of John and Ida (LaShomb) Sampier.
She came to Niagara Falls in 1942. She graduated from high school in Postdam and attended Potsdam Teachers College for two years.
On July 14, 1956, she married Joseph A. Palermo in Detroit.
She was a saleswoman at the former Amberg's Clothing Store and was manager of My Maternity Shop on Falls Street during the 1940s and 1950s.
Mrs. Palermo is survived by her husband, Joseph A.; two daughters, Alice Peete of York and Norma Zoda; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
Prayers will be said at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in M.J. Colucci Funeral Chapel, 568 19th St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
