Mark Alan Hodges was born May 6, 1964 and departed this life Monday, January 5, 2015 reaching the age of 50 years. He was the son of Geraldine (Lovell) Guffey and Wayne Hodges.

He is survived by: his wife, Laura Lashel (Smith) Hodges; his children, Seth Hodges and Sierra Hodges; his mother, Geraldine “Geri” Guffey; his father, Wayne Hodges, one brother, Geoff Hodges; two sisters, Melody Smith and Trisha Hodges; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Wednesday, January 7th at 7pm at the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 1pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Meadow Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Meadow Creek Methodist Church, Meadow Creek Baptist Church, Gideon Bible Memorial Plan, Wounded Warriors, Wayne County Football, Basketball, Baseball or Golf Clubs.
