Clayton, 51, of Blanchard, MI. passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Detroit Medical Center - Harper University Hospital in Detroit.

Funeral Services for Clayton were held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 9, with Pastor Michael Palmer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Clayton was the son of Clayton, Sr. and Zelpha (Maxon) Richardson. Clayton proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 82 Airborne Infantry and 101 Airborne Infantry for 21 years. Serving in the Persian Gulf War, Desert Shield, and Desert Storm.

Clayton was an avid hunter and fisher throughout his life.

Clayton is survived by his children, Luke and Skylar Richardson, both of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Melanie Richardson of Big Rapids, Lisa McAllaster of Rodney, and Lori Hollis of Saginaw; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Clayton was preceded in death by his mother, Zelpha; best friend and father, Clayton, Sr.; grandparents, Frank and Florence Maxon and Iva and Charles Richardson; aunt, Shirley Denesuk; and his most beloved dog, Skip.
