Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Thompson Reed, age 80 of Lebanon, will be conducted on Friday January 9, 2015 at 11am from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Bro. Charles McKnight will officiate and interment will follow in the Barton’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm and again on Friday after 9am.

Mrs. Reed passed away on Monday January 5, 2015 at the St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. She was born in Wilson County on December 19, 1934 to the Late Jesse Alexander and Ocea Hight Thompson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Tim Reed.

Mrs. Faye was a long time member of Barton’s Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, as well as working with the WMU. She had a strong passion for serving The Lord in her home church. She also had a love for music and singing.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Mr. Bobby Joe Reed; daughters, Leasa (Richard) Gammon, and Angela D. Reed; grandsons, Brian Reed, Jason LeCornu, and Alex Gammon; great-grandchildren, Timmy and Riley Reed; sister, Joy Ragland of California.
