Sports agent. Founder of a newspaper sports syndicate and famed as a manager of sports celebrities such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Knute Rockne. He was an intimate with such notables as Pop Warner and John McGraw among many others. He was responsible for the introduction of ghost writing in the sports world, and for coining the term in 1921. He founded the All American Board of Football and had a tradition of hosting day-after Rose Bowl breakfasts.
