Peter C. Miller, 93, the second oldest man in this city died Wednesday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. H. O. Johansen, of causes incident.
Mr. Miller was born May 17, 1855, on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, a son of Peter P. and Petrea Reabo Miller. He came to the United States in August, 1872, on the sailing vessel "Wyoming". The family settled in Richfield, coming to Mt. Pleasant in 1875. On April 7, 1879, he married Mary Fredrickson of Mt. Pleasant, in the Endowment house, Salt Lake City. In 1897 the family moved to Castle Dale where be resided until the death of his wife in 1927 when he returned to Mt. Pleasant to make his home with his daughter. While in Castle Dale he was a member of the city council and president of the Mammoth Canal and Reservoir Co. for several years. He had been an active worker in the LDS church, a member of the elders quorum and a ward teacher for many years.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters; Roy Miller of Kenilworth; Earl Miller of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Murvin L. Jones of Castle Dale and Mrs. Johansen of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
