A vehicle slid on ice and struck Moran, pinning her and one of the dogs. Moran died at the scene. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Moran's death an accident.
She was born Sept. 27, 1965, in Ft. Belvoir, Va.
She married her beloved husband, on May 15, 1999, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
In addition to her husband, she was the loving daughter, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, sister and aunt, sister-in-law, and her beloved dogs, Monte and Illini and the late Shea, Linus and Lucas.
Kimberly was a member of St. James Church and their bell choir; Three Rivers Bernese Mountain Dog Club; very active in Sewickley Heights Manor, serving on the board and dedicated to their landscaping.
She had worked in accounting and interior design but the job she liked the most was working with dogs at Larry's Laundromutt.
Kimberly was a graduate of Mercer Area High School and had obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Daytona, Ohio, and Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from La Roche College.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 200 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA, where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in Sewickley Cemetery.
