FERGUSON, Rita F. Tremblay, age 91, first saw the light of day on August 16, 1923, in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada when she was delivered to the loving arms of Louis and Pamela LaRoche Tremblay. From the children's poem, "Monday's Child" which is suppose to tell a child's character or future based on the day of the week you are born, Rita was a Thursday's child. The Thursday's child has far to go. And so she did.

The Lord wrote her name in the Book of Eternal Life on Saturday, January 3, 2015 and at the age of 91, she departed her earthly life.
During her life she would be a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would be the last of twelve siblings.

On March 14, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan she was united in marriage to her life partner Murray H. Ferguson. Together they celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary. Mr. Ferguson preceded his wife in death on April 8, 1993.

Rita enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling to the family cottage in Canada, traveling to Europe and especially her trips to Cancun. Following sports, she was a well known fan of the Detroit Tigers Team. She volunteered at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids and was an active member of Saint Hubert Catholic Church, here in Harrison Township, Michigan. During the span of her 32 year membership, she was involved with Saint Vincent DePaul and assisted in preparing funeral luncheons. Rita will be remembered for channeling her talents into motherhood and was proudly a homemaker. She was a dedicated and extraordinary mother, who showered her family with love. She was the glue that held the family together after the death of her husband Murray. She taught her family kindness, devotion and grace. An inspiration to her family, she lead by example, bringing light and pleasure to their days. Her children referred to her as their angel. Angels are dazzling expressions of God's love for his children. Not only do they bring hope to the weary, but they are always pointing upward, promising that at the end of life's journey they will be there to carry us to that greatest of all mysteries, the bliss and splendor of our heavenly home.

She is survived by her tightly knit family, including her four beloved children, Pamela (Karl) Walter, Sally (Scott) Boden, Nancy (Robert) Brown, John (Patricia) Ferguson, her ten darling grandchildren and 6 precious great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, husband, and twelve siblings, she was also preceded in death by her dear daughter Jacqueline Neuenschwander and a cherished infant son Murray H. Ferguson, Jr. It gives us such comfort to know that all of her family was there to welcome her. For the first time she would be able to hold her infant son and see his precious face, something she was never able to do when he was born.

Private family services will be held with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
