Miss Rose Lomber
Lowvillle ~ Miss Rose Lomber, 84, died October 1, 1949 of a stroke which she suffered Monday, the day her sister, Mrs. Christina Schraub died.
Miss Lomber was born in the Town of New Bremen, the daughter of Nicholas and Susan Lomber. She resided all her life in the vicinity. She was a milliner for 25 years in Lyons and retired 35 years ago; since that time she had lived at the family home, 41 State Street.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Randolph, of Lowville, and Mrs. Fred C. Pierce of Croghan; one brother, Louis M. Lomber of Beach Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private from the home Monday at 2 p. m. with the Reverend O. Theodore Anderson officiating.
