Clara was born in Italy, Texas, to the late James S. Woodall and Audie Irene Hadley Woodall, where she was a lifelong resident. Clara graduated valedictorian of her class at Italy High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from East Texas State Teacher's College. She taught elementary school in Mesquite and was an active member of Central Baptist Church. Clara was very involved in the activities at Trinity Mission over a period of many years and had numerous friends there. She always had a smile on her face and made people happy in her presence. Clara loved her grandchildren and cherished her special memories with them.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Hester; and sisters, Dorothy Markham and Virginia Barr.
Survivors include her sons, Monte Owens and Kevin Owens; granddaughters: Chantelle, Shawna, Samantha, Kari and Meagan; grandson, Jeramy; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. K17
