WALLACE, The Rev. Edwin B., 90, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 16, 2011. He was born in
Clearfield County, Pa., and spent his entire life in ministry, serving with the Family Altar radio broadcast, pastorates in Vineland and Florence, N.J., Roanoke, Va., and Greensboro, N.C. He also served on the staff at Eastern Pilgrim College, Allentown, Pa., and Messiah College, Grantham, Pa. Edwin was also a talented artist and had many illustrations and book covers published. He also illustrated a children's book, The Cornhusk Doll. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. R. Vernon and Freda; his first wife, Elisabeth; sister, Esther; brother, the Rev. Robert; and a grandson, Brian. He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Lois (Dennis) St. Clair of Grand Blanc, Mich.; son, Philip of England; stepdaughter, Kristin (William) Dickau of Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place
10-11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Brooksville Wesleyan Church, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte, Fla. Memorial gifts may be given to the Brooksville Wesleyan Church Building Fund, 8168 Jasmine Drive, Brooksville, FL 34601. Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home Brookville Chapel
