A lifelong resident of Haywood County, Mark was the son of Leroy and Lila Jo Gillis Murray, of Canton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Owen and Elza Mae Murray and Herman and Minnie Gillis. Mark was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Canton. He was an avid reader, a passionate Duke Blue Devils basketball fan, a hunter and an outdoorsman. He was a talented musician who held a black belt in Tai Kwan Do and had a deep love for his family.
Inurnment will follow at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
