Benjamin F. Crow was born on 30 August 1900 in Spartanburg County, SC, the youngest of seven children of John Benjamin Wofford Crow (1860 - 1936) & Mary Ellen Stribling Crow (1857 - 1930). He was married to Ella V. Matthews (1899-1978) about 1920. They had four daughters and a son. He was a clerk with the southern railroad. They lived most of their years in Spartanburg, SC. He died on 30 September 1971 in Spartanburg, SC at the age of 71. He was interred at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
