Gaffney, S.C. - Margaret Shirley Harmon, 77, of 927 Buck Shoals, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Peachtree Centre.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Nesbitt Maurice Harmon and Lillian Horton Harmon.
She was retired from Hamrick Mills and loved the Gaffney Indians and was an avid Gamecock fan. Miss Harmon was a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving is a brother, Billy Harmon of Gaffney; a sister, Loretta Purkey of Gastonia, N.C.; a niece, Diane Lee of Gaffney; two nephews, Darryl Harmon of Spartanburg and Bryan Harmon and wife, Debbie of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jim Davidson and Rev. Mike Frazier officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.
