Fay worked as a beautician and Cosmetology teacher. She was employed on the Navajo reservation, and also served as a teacher's aide at Ben Lomond High School in Ogden.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden, serving as a Sunday School teacher, as well as preparing many meals for special events. She was known for her homemade cinnamon rolls.
Fay enjoyed (and was skilled at) creating quilts, knitting, and loved to create for her family. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
At the time of her passing, she was survived by two sons, three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, and one brother. She also had a number of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown, sisters Auda Phelps, Shirley Simmons, Rita Barnett, and brother Walt Howard.
Fay is truly missed.
