Lois Jean Neal, 81, of Timblin, died January 2, 2015, at her residence.

Born February 6, 1933, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Arnold E. and M. Marie (Martin) Shumaker.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Timblin United Methodist Church. Lois loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved camping, sitting around the fire with her grandchildren, and her two cats, Catdog and Frankie.

She will always be remembered as a good woman, one who loved all, and was loved by many.

She is survived by one son, Bradley Neal and companion Pennie Enterline of Timblin; two daughters, Brenda Neal London of Punxsutawney, and Beth Ann Neal and husband Steve Dold of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Christopher and Jeanne London, and Nicholas and Kamie London; three granddaughters, Carrie Neal, Katelyn Neal, and Lakota Neal, whom she had raised since the age of 8, and two great grandsons, Asa London and Henry London. She is also survived by one brother, Larry E. “Butch” Shumaker of New Bethlehem; one sister, Sharon “Kay” Dinger and husband Vaughn of Timblin; a brother-in-law, Mervin Snyder of Elderton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to both parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry L. “Babes” Neal; a sister, Barbara Snyder; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Shumaker.

Lois’s wish was to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Dora Evangelical Church at 11 am with Pastor Kenneth Alt officiating.

Interment will be in the Timblin Cemetery at a later date. .
