Troy Douglas Hampton, better known as Doug, age 48 of Barbourville, departed this life on Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of Troy and Edith Mills Hampton, born to them on November 14, 1966 in Knox County, Kentucky.
Doug was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church.
Doug is survived by his dear parents, Troy and Edith Hampton of Barbourville and a devoted daughter, Taylor, who was the light of his life.
Funeral services for Troy Douglas Hampton will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, Monday January 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Josh Smith, Rev. James Vandy and Rev. Jimmy Disney officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville City Cemetery with Billy Weninegar, Trevor Mills, Tanner Mills, Patrick Early, Micheal Early, Todd Mills and Geoff Mills serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Owens, Mike Owens, Leon Disney, Kelly Farris, all of his fishing buddies and all friends & neighbors.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday, January 4, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Monday after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
