Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Florene "Nanny" Lormand, age 100, who died on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Monsignor W. Curtis Mallet, Vicar General for the Diocese of Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Charlotte Jagneaux, vocalist, accompanied by Phyllis Simar, organist, will sing for the services, "Je vous salue Marie," "Notre Pére," "J'irai la voir un jour," "Be Not Afraid," and "Wind Beneath My Wings."

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and also many great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleopha and Eugenie Duplechain Lormand; one brother, Lloyd Lormand; and three sisters, Angelle Landry, Angela Trosclair and Lorena Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Martin, Ricky Cormier, Shannon Landry, Scotty Landry, Joey Champagne and Ryan Cormier. Honorary pallbearer will be Dean Lormand.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 8AM until time of services.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.
