Maxine Elliot, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Woolford, of Des Moines, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital of that city Sunday morning, July 28, 1918, aged 1 year, 3 months and 13 days. Funeral services were held at the home at three o'clock Monday afternoon. The mother of this child is a former Pella girl, Nellie Brison, and the child was a great-granddaughter of Peter Vander Werf. This is the second death in the this family within weeks, as it will be recalled that Mrs. Woolford's little sister was brought to Pella for burial about the middle of July.
