James G. Wonderly, 73, of Hicksville, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, Ohio.

He was born in Hicksville on January 26, 1938, the son of the late Orton and Mary L. (Arend) Wonderly.

He attended Hicksville High School.

In 1965, he was united in marriage with Mary Hollis and she survives.

He served in the United States Army.

Jim worked at Dana Corporation in Antwerp, Ohio.

He was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church and a 26 year member of the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department. Jim loved working with electricity.

Jim is survived by his wife Mary, a daughter Diane (Jay) Rosen of Las Vegas, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters-Genevieve Kolb of Ney, Ohio, Teresa Devereux of Belfair, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lori, two brothers and five sisters.

There will be no services. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery.
