Rock Musician. He was a guitarist for the 1970s musical group, 'Toby Beau.' The group which formed in Texas with lead vocalist Baide Silva, guitarist Ron Ross, bassist Steve Zipper, drummer Rob Young, and of course McKenna, had a hit with there 1978 recording of the soft-rock ballad, 'My Angel Baby.' Also the name of there debut album, the song topped the easy-listening charts, but fell short of the pop Top Ten charts. Over the next two years they followed up this release with two more albums, "More Than A Love Song" in 1979, and "If You Believe" in 1980. After the release of there second album the group were dropped from there contract, but continued playing the Texas club circuit over the next couple of decades. McKenna passed away after committing suicide at the age of 54. Other recording's by the band include, 'Westbound Train,' 'Moonshine,' 'Into The Night,' 'Same Old Line,' 'California,' 'Watching The World Go By,' 'If You Believe,' 'Broken Down Cowboy,' and 'Boogie Woogie Melody.'
