Eloise Ruth Reed, 90, resident of San Leon, Texas, passed away December 9, 2012. She was born August 18, 1922 in East Liverpool, Ohio to parents, John and Ethel Armstrong. She previously lived in Quartzsite, Arizona before moving here to live with her daughter. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Texas City.
Eloise was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Reed, second husband, John Reed, son, John Wesley Reed, and grandson, Richard Reed.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Smith and husband Jacob of San Leon, Patricia Fortney and husband Terry of Marion, Ohio; sons, Robert Reed and fiancée Gretchen Sturgis of Sterling, Colorado, and John Reed Jr. of South Portland, Maine; sister, Vera Rowland of New Cumberland, West Virginia; and twin brother, Elden Armstrong of Arvada, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at First Church of the Nazarene, 2105 5th Ave. N., Texas City, Texas, with Reverend James Lewis officiating.
