Michael W. Ratliff, 38, of Bloomville, passed away, Friday morning, January 2, 2015 at the Tiffin Mercy Hospital. Michael was born December 19, 1976, in Whitesburg, KY, to Marlin Ratliff and Annie (Taulbee) Halcomb. He married Brenda (Long) in Tiffin, on April 9, 1999 and she survives in Bloomville. Michael is survived by his daughter, Michelle Ratliff of Bloomville, mother, Annie Halcomb of Tiffin, step-father, Tracy Halcomb of Fostoria, a brother, Jimmy (Heather) Ratliff of Tiffin, a sister, Joanna (Jacob Reaper) Halcomb of Tiffin. Michael is also survived by the five girls he and Brenda raised, Jessica, Brianna, Brooklynn Alexis, Ally all of Bloomville, a special cousin Shawn (Tami) Taulbee of Tiffin and many other family members and friends. Michael worked at Seneca Tile in Attica and enjoyed motorcycles and working on cars. Most of all Michael loved spending time with his family and many friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Marlin Ratliff. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev. David Spradlin officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Thursday, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service on Thursday at the Fairmont cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
