Nell Wisdom Cansler, 91, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital. She was a Charlotte native, born January 13, 1923 in the old St. Peter’s Hospital, a daughter of the late Edwin T. and Nell Cave Cansler. Nell attended Central High School and Salem College. She was most recently a resident of Southminster Retirement Community and a member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sister, Betsy Thomas of Charlotte, NC and seven nieces and nephews, Lynn Cansler, Edwin T. Cansler IV, Cathy Cansler Swilley, Robert Thomas, Diana Thomas, Charlie Thomas and Anne McLaughlin Dubuys.
Private graveside services will be held in Elmwood Cemetery.
