Visitation will be on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home, Malvern, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 am at Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.

Lester Lee (Buddy) Edwards left his earthly home in Poyen and entered his Heavenly Home on January 2nd, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born on September 23¸1922 to the late Presley Lee and Roxie Wilson Edwards in Poyen. He was married to the love of his life, the late Hazel Burrow Edwards for 53 years. Lester served in the US Army with the 476 Ordnance Evacuation Company. He served three years in World War II with tours in Africa and Italy. Lester was a construction worker by trade and loved wood working, traveling, gardening and mowing his lawn. He enjoyed the outdoors spending his time hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Stihl Hunters Hunting Club. Lester loved the Lord and was the oldest and a devoted member of the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church.

Lester will be loved and missed by his family including son, Gary (Jeanie) Edwards; daughter, Rita (Eddy) Watson all of Poyen; sister, Ethel Lou Riley of Poyen; sister-n-law, Bobbie Burrow of Overton of Texas; grandchildren, David (Nichole) Edwards, Darren (Darla) Edwards, Daniel (Denisha) Edwards, Erik (Shelly) Watson and Krista (Stephen) Moore; great grandchildren, Tyler (Brianna) Turner, Stephanie (Ryan) Armstrong, Crissy Haught, Caleb Watson, Tara Edwards, Madison Edwards, Emma Horn, Beau Edwards and Sydney Moore; great great grandchildren, Brynlee Turner and Sawyer Armstrong and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was reunited in Heaven with brother, J.D. Edwards; sister, Lelia Mooney and two nephews.
