Robert Lee Waldron, born January 28, 1907, Lawton, Oklahoma, died January 19, 1983, Fort Smith, Arkansas, after having a car wreck just north of Ozark on Hwy. 219 our father Robert Lee was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery north of Ozark, AR, Lee was the son of the late Edward Donald Waldron and Pearl Ann Long both of Wasco, California. He served in the National Guards in the 1920s he was not a veteran. Lee left behind a loving wife Rebeth "Cagle" Waldron and eight children: Kenneth Marvin Waldron and LaMona Joyce Phillips both of Wasco, California. Teresa Genell Crouch, Linda Lou Watson, Judith Annette Armstrong, and Mack David Waldron; all of Ozark, Ermel Lee Chancey of Worms Germany and Donna Shelton of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lee did his duty as a husband and a father and an exemplary citizen diligent in business, much in spirit. Our daddy never thought more highly of himself than he ought to think. He had a multitude of friends; he never met a stranger. He had an answer for everyone and a story. One thing he never did was hurt anyone. Lee was a farmer in his younger days that toiled the fields with his hands from dawn to dusk to feed and clothe and to see that his children got their education.
In 1939 Lee worked for the W.P.A. making $21.00 a month to feed his growing family and later on in his years had a job as a construction worker from 1950 until he retired in the 1970s and then he always kept himself part-time employed. Our Daddies favorite hobby was hunting Ginseng roots. He was a steady customer for 13 years for various company one in particular was Magee Root Company, Inc., Eolia, Missouri. He also, traded for pocket knives and shotguns, A great fisherman and hunter. Lee and his son Mack shared a lot of special moments together the two of them were good mechanics. When relaxing time came you could find our daddy in his favorite chair on the front porch with his dogs. His daughter LaMona Joyce Waldron Phillips
