Obituary - Wed., 3/27/1963 edition of The Atlanta Constitution - Carl E. Pennington - Funeral services for Carl E. Pennington, Sr., 69, of 446 Leonardo Ave., NE, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Decatur First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dick H. Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Mr. Pennington died Monday in a private hospital. A native of Bulloch County, he had lived in Atlanta 34 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Decatur First Baptist Church and was retired. He is survived by two sons, Carl E. Pennington, Jr. of Westport, Conn., and James C. Pennington of Tampa, Fla.; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Deal, Mrs. Curtis E. Taylor, and Mrs. Laura Weathers of Savannah; Mrs. Lucile Pate of Statesboro, and Mrs. Thelma Brown of Charlotte, NC; and three brothers, Leroy Pennington, Tom Pennington, and James Pennington, all of Savannah.
