Amy Margaret Andrews, 82, of 1604 State, a retired licensed practical nurse, died at 12:41 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 24, 1995) in Blessing Hospital.
Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Dowagiac, Mich., she was a daughter of Thomas Edmund and Mary Pearl Jateway Roberts. She married Howard Mosher in 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. She then married Clyde V. Andrews Dec. 10, 1959, in Quincy. He died April 21, 1980.
Mrs. Andrews was a graduate of Adelphian Academy High School in Holly, Mich., and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She had been employed for many years by St. Mary and Blessing hospitals and in private care for several years.
She was a member and past president of the Golden Age Club of Central Baptist Church, the Quincy Garden Club and the Quincy Artists Guild. She also was a member of the American Mineralogical Society and the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a 25-year member of the Gem City Rock Club, and a former member of Alpha Chapter 109 Oder of Eastern Star.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Mrs. Charles (Sharon) Akright of Quincy, Mrs. William (Karen) Eagleton of Godfrey, and Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Jochem of Santa Fe, N.M.; three step-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Harold Davis and Harold Heistand, both of Knox, Ind.; and two half-sisters, Helen Hall of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Ora Johnson of Knox. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and a half-sister, Mildred Rumbaugh.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Barnhurst. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before services.
Memorials may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
