She is survived by her two sons, Jim and his wife Linda Allen of Destin, FL, and Phil and his wife Joy Allen of Huntsville, AL. Also surviving is her granddaughter Stacy and her husband Jay Thompson of St. Louis, MO. and her two great- grandchildren Aaron Thompson and Abigail Thompson.
Preceding Mary Ann in death were her two husbands, J.C. Allen and Robert Cullom, her parents William Alva and Lula Belle Sanders, her four brothers Otto, Austin, Doris and Leon Sanders, and her grandson Michael Allen.
Mary Ann grew up in Hurricane Mills, TN and was a committed Christian her entire adult life. She was dedicated to being of service to others by being a longtime teacher of children’s bible classes at church and always having her home open to younger Christians to encourage and serve them.
Mary Ann worked as the bookkeeper at Allen Blind Company for over thirty years. She was a member of Germantown Road Church of Christ and was living at Kirby Pines Retirement Home at the time of her passing.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Monday, January 5th, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, January 6th at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lipscomb University, One University Park Drive, Nashville. TN 37204-3951.
