She was of the Baptist faith, lifetime (plus) member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #8845. She is also a member of River Valley Claude Rogers Unit Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by 2 sons John E. Rice who was killed in Vietnam and Keneth Allison died at home. She is survived by 4 children, 2 daughters Sandra Broughton and husband Don of Jacksonville and Roberta Webb of Fort Smith, AR., 2 sons Jim M. Rice and wife Sharon of Fort Smith, AR. and Howard Allison of Fort Smith, AR., 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. with interment at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will be VFW Post #8845 and Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
