Henry, Jo Baker James A retired employee of Exxon Federal Credit Union, Baton Rouge, she died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at 10:25 p.m. at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 81, the youngest of eight children, a native of Alexandria and a former resident of Harrison, Ark. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 7. Visiting Wednesday at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Road, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Kevin Hand, pastor of Zoar Baptist Church, and the Rev. Alfred Garvin, pastor of Omaha Baptist Church, Omaha, Ark. Interment in church cemetery. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Martin and Dannie, Judy Nickens and Linda James Lovett, all of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Darby James Jr. and Jeanne, Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darby C. James Sr.; second husband, Felix Henry; parents, Richard and Maude Baker; three brothers, the Rev. John P. Baker, Lt. Col. Richard Baker and Champ Leroy Baker; four sisters, Jane Baker Horne, Maude Baker David, Cornelia Baker Card and Gertrude Baker Provost; grandson, Jeremy Wade James; and great-granddaughters, Caitlyn Angelle Girlinghouse and Mary Grace Lombardo. Pallbearers will be Bradley Lovett, Donald Lovett, Josh Girlinghouse, Billy Nickens, Scott Parker, Jamie Grant, Jerry Caro and Martin Simon. Jo was the recipient of an LSU tennis scholarship at age 14 and was an avid collector of dolls, a member of Zoar Baptist Church, former member of Oakcrest Baptist Church and attended Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, Ark. Special thanks to her care provider, Ann Rooney. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Omaha Baptist Church, 2004 Surrey Lane, Harrison, AR 72601.
