Passed away Monday morning, Oct 30, 1972. Mr. Lumbard was born Sept. 22, 1892, in Swea City, Iowa, the son of William and Clara Lumbard and had been a resident here since 1941, previously living in Iowa and Minnesota. He had attended the Cedar Falls College and was a member of the Baptist Church since the age of 14. Before his retirement was a partner in the Lumbard Construction Co. On Jan. 28, 1916, he was married to Nellie Reed, who survives. Also surviving are 8 sons and one daughter, William, James, Myrle, Clarence, Lester, Mrs. Juanita Shank, Daile, all of Kalamazoo, Ralph of Harrietta, Mich., Lyle of Kalamazoo; 28 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles and an infant daughter, Neva.
Burial in East Cooper Cemetery.
