DAVENPORT -- Harold J. Buehl, age 80 of Davenport, died Wednesday, August 4, 1999, at his home, after an extended illness.

Harold Joseph Buehl was born July 29, 1919, in Burlington, Iowa, to Harry John Buehl and Edith (Chaknine) Buehl. He married Inez (Campbell) Offerman on June 14, 1966, in Las Vegas.
He retired in 1983 as a sheet metal journeyman after many years at Ideal Mechanical Contractors, Davenport. Mr. Buehl was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 91, Rock Island.

Survivors include his wife; Inez, a daughter; Colleen Cooksey, Davenport; a son, Harold Buehl (Jr.), Atlanta; grandsons, Richard and Robert Cooksey; five great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Edna Goodwin, Downers Grove, Ill.; brothers, Harry "H. R." Buehl, Plainfield, Ill., and Donald Buehl, Guilford, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers; Clarence A. Buehl , Raymond K. Buehl and Robert "Bob" Buehl.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
